NVC Free Childcare assistance (On Campus YMCA program) Spring 2026 request form

NVC Parenting Students may qualify for FREE childcare—

so you can focus on your education, access campus resources, services, facilities, and offerings while we take care of the rest!

🧒 Who’s Eligible?

  • Children ages 5–13 of a NVC parenting student or guardian enrolled at NVC.
  • NVC students enrolled in at least one NVC on-campus class during the childcare hours listed below and/or
  • NVC online students who would like to receive drop-in childcare services while you are on campus (receiving campus services, resources, campus activities/events, campus offerings etc.)

  • Monday–Thursday:  5p.m. – 9p.m.
  • Saturday:  9a.m. – 4 p.m.

This service is designed to support your success—giving you time to attend class, study, and access campus resources and more!

This opportunity is made possible through a partnership between Northwest Vista College and the YMCA of Greater San Antonio. Childcare will be provided by trained YMCA staff on the NVC campus.


NVC Parenting Students Seeking Childcare Assistance Must:

  • Be registered at NVC for the semester in which you are requesting childcare assistance.

  • Remain enrolled at NVC for the entire semester you receive childcare assistance.

  • Complete the NVC Childcare Assistance Request Form and receive confirmation of available spots.

  • Create a YMCA account and complete the NVC-YMCA Registration Form, which will be sent to your ACES email once your eligibility and availability are confirmed.

  • Stay on campus while your child is under the care of the YMCA program.



*NVC Employees who are regularly scheduled to work NVC evening and/or weekend shifts may also request assistance during the evening/Saturday scheduled hours

NVC offers two type of childcare.  Please review the options below and select all that apply (you can pick more than 1):

-Reoccurring Services: Child/ren will be dropped off on the same days each week due to class schedules

-Drop In services:  Child/ren will be dropped off at least 3 times a month so you can access campus resources, support, services, activities/events, facilities, etc.
